THE KOSHKAR-MUIZ MOTIF

My design was inspired by the Koshkar-Muiz motif, a traditional Kazakh ornamental pattern featured on the flag of Kazakhstan. This symbol, meaning “ram’s horns,” represents strength, prosperity, and the deep connection between Kazakh culture and nomadic heritage. I translated the flowing curves and symmetry of the Koshkar-Muiz pattern into my design through silhouette, detailing, and decorative elements, while drawing from the flag’s turquoise and gold color palette to express freedom, cultural pride, and elegance.
